Do you know how to get new HR and Finance procedures off the ground?
Are your existing policies flying high?
Have you reconnoitred the legislation landscape for significant changes ahead?
If the answer to any of these questions is “no”, then why not join the pathfinders at Jelf for another of our acclaimed (and often fun) Employment Seminars?
Yet again we will be fielding our range of expert educators, speaking on important topics of true relevance to employers. The agenda for this event includes:
Employment Law
Harassment & Bullying in the workplace
Absence Management (including an employer case study)
Employee Benefits
Once again we have another superb and interesting venue in The Royal Air Force Club. This grand building overlooking Green Park is an active (and exclusive) club for serving and past members of the RAF, and also houses an impressive collection of original aviation art by artists such as Frank Wootton. The venue is easy to access by all forms of public transport.

Agenda
1) Absence Management: ‘Flight or Fancy’’
A case study taking a look at the wider benefits (beyond insurance) of group income protection as a positive contributor to absence management; with a focus on employee engagement to facilitate early returns to the workplace. This session will demonstrate the benefits to employee, employer & corporate wellbeing from integrating all stake-holders within a robust early intervention process
Speakers: Chris Ford, Director of Group Risk, Jelf Employee Benefits & Ashleigh Witcher, Senior Benefits Administrator, Serco Group
2) Bullying & Harassment at Work: ‘Myths and Realities’
Bullying and harassment continues to be a major challenge for organisations of all sizes in the UK. This interactive session is designed to promote understanding of the issues, and provide delegates with the confidence to tackle inappropriate behaviour in the workplace. Our speaker on this topic is Jean Kelly, who has 20 years relevant experience as a trainer, consultant, coach, and author.
Speaker: Jean Kelly, Jean Kelly Consultancy Ltd
3) Employment Law: ‘Per ardua……ad astra or calamitas?’
In the second of his Jelf talks this year, Tim asks whether the promised Government reforms will takes us to the stars or calamity. He will consider the latest draft legislation, including the various ACAS Codes and offer an aerial view of the brave new employment landscape.
Tim will also do his usual review of cases that have caught his eye, in particular looking at recent cases regarding SOSR dismissals and share some of his know-how (then offer his apologies for plagiarising the RAF’s motto).
Speaker: Tim Randles, Associate, Penningtons Solicitors LLP
4) Employee Benefits: ‘Those magnificent men in their flying machines’
George Osborne’s 2013 budget statement will shape the future of many employee benefits for years to come. Steve will review the decisions already announced, and try and gauge the flight-path for the future. Topics covered will include Healthcare, Childcare Vouchers, and Pensions (including Auto-Enrolment). A look at benefits for those closer to retirement age will also be included.
Speaker: Steve Herbert, Head of Benefits Strategy, Jelf Employee Benefits
