Tax Free Childcare - our latest research

Given that we are deep in holiday season, it’s entirely possible that many of our regular audience missed our latest press release - and delegate survey findings - on the subject of Childcare Vouchers and Tax Free Childcare.

As you will see from the attached links, our recent survey of around 200 employers finds that there is increasing awareness that several groupings of employees will be worse-off under the proposed Tax Free Childcare (TFC) system when compared to the existing offering of Childcare Vouchers. And it’s encouraging that so many employers and now considering retaining the latter option for a period of time after the introduction of TFC.

The important point here is that employees who commence Childcare Vouchers before their withdrawal next Autumn will be able to retain that right - even if they do not qualify under the new TFC conditions.

So it follows that employers that really want to help their parent employees will look to promote Childcare Vouchers from now through to next Autumn to ensure that all eligible employees are able to continue to access this important and valuable state support for the cost of childcare.
