Small pay-rises v benefits: Your views

Many thanks to those of you who voted at our recent Health and Wellbeing event(s) last month.

After combining the voting results from the morning and afternoon sessions, we do have some interesting statistics to progress some of the topic conversations a little further. The first area we have looked at was linked to my presentation and the possible use of benefits instead of nominal pay increases. The findings are adequately covered in the following links:

https://www.wsandb.co.uk/wsb/news/2223133/firms-eye-benefits-above-small-pay-rises

https://www.employeebenefits.co.uk/benefits/pay-/-bonus-and-reward/extra-benefits-may-be-preferable-to-small-pay-rise/100478.article

I must admit to being (pleasantly) surprised as to how many delegates showed interest in this approach, and this is something I may well pick up on our LinkedIn grouping as an ongoing conversation as well.

Hope this is of interest.

Best regards

Steve
