This event will take place on board HMS President, which is in an excellent location on the River Thames, and within sight of most of the major landmarks of the capital.

Event overview:
Jelf Employment Seminar: ‘A rising tide?’
Sinking without trace on Employment Law?
Clinging to the wreckage of your existing Workplace Practices?
Adrift of the latest Employee Benefit requirements?
If the answer to any of the above questions is ‘yes’, then the latest in our acclaimed seminar series will help you navigate back to a steady course.
As usual, we will be fielding our range of expert educators, speaking on important topics of true relevance to UK employers. The full agenda includes an Employment Law update, a look at the future of the workplace and, of course, Employee Benefits. For the full agenda please see below.
Our superb nautical venue is HMS President, which is moored on the Thames, only a few minutes’ walk from the newly reopened Blackfriars tube and mainline station. Situated amongst the famous landmarks of the capital, delegates will have exclusive access to the Ballroom, Gunroom and Upper Deck. Refreshments, post event drinks, and a guided tour of the ship are all provided free of charge.

The Full Agenda:
Future Work: ‘The Rising Tide of Work’’
The way we work is overdue for change. Business wants to increase efficiency and attract the best talent. The workforce want a fresh deal.
Aided by technology, companies now have the tools to boost output and costs, whilst also providing employees with more freedom over how they work. But how to make this happen?
To help unpack this important topic we welcome Peter Thomson, a co-author of ‘Future Work’, and a visiting fellow of Henley Business School.
Speaker: Peter Thomson, Director, Wisework Ltd
Employment Law: ’The Voyage of The Legal Beagle’
As well as a brief voyage around recent developments in Employment Law, Tim will also plot a course through the murky waters of employee grievances. A safe passage through hazardous seas may be achieved by learning the lessons from two recent discrimination cases.
One of the most informative and entertaining speakers on the seminar circuit, this is a necessary session for all delegates.
Speaker: Tim Randles, Associate, Penningtons Solicitors LLP
Employee Benefits: ‘Any Q’s?’
A topical update on all things employee benefits.
Subjects covered will include changes announced in the March budget, how the employer’s ‘brand’ could become increasingly important in employee benefits, and is it really so tough at the top?
Obviously, the latest tweaks and changes to Auto-Enrolment regulations will also be covered.
Speaker: Steve Herbert, Head of Benefits Strategy, Jelf Employee Benefits
