Our next London event: Bookings now being taken…

I am now in a position to advertise our next, and highly prestigious, London seminar.

Not only do we have an excellent venue in the Huxley Lecture Theatre, within London Zoo (with free zoo access after the event), but we are also delighted to announce that the Minister for Pensions, Steve Webb MP will be one of our expert speakers, discussing upcoming changes to UK pension provision and taking your questions. Other topics will include Employment Law and Employee Benefits.

Places will be allocated on a strictly first come, first served basis. Seminar details

09:00 Registration, coffee, and networking

09.45 Welcome

09.50 Company Pensions: ‘Overview of the challenges facing UK employers’

10:00 UK Pensions: ‘The Minister’s View and update’

With automatic enrolment into workplace pensions being introduced from 2012, the next few years will see dramatic changes to the UK pension landscape. Who better to update delegates on this and other policies than The Minister for Pensions himself?

Mr Webb is an engaging speaker and is well placed to discuss this topic as his political background includes being the Liberal Democrats spokesman on Work and Pensions for the period 1999 – 2005, and again in 2009. He was appointed Minister of State for Pensions in May 2010 and has a real enthusiasm for his subject.

Speaker: Steve Webb MP, The Minister for Pensions

10:15 Q & A session with The Minister for Pensions (including delegate voting)

10:30 Break, refreshments and networking

11:00 Employment Law: ‘Employment Law Bushcraft’

Wikipedia defines bushcraft as ‘a long-term extension of survival skills’. With so many changes in employment law currently in progress, delegates may now need these survival skills more than ever.

Armed only with his well earned legal bushcraft expertise, we once again welcome the intrepid Mr Randles for another informative, necessary and humorous session.

Speaker: Tim Randles, Employment Lawyer

11:30 Employee Benefits: ‘The Elephant in the room’

A fitting title for our venue, and never more relevant to employee benefits. Which of the many topics on offer is the true elephant in the room for delegates? NEST, auto enrolment, gender discrimination, the abolition of the Default Retirement Age or the Retail Distribution Review? All these prime contenders, together with their potential impact on UK employers, will be discussed.

Widely known to the London audience, Steve will guide delegate through this complex area with his usual fast paced and off-the-wall approach to his subjects.

Speaker: Steve Herbert, Head of Benefits Strategy

12:00 Closing comments, Seminar concludes

12.05 Drinks in the Foyer, informal Q&A session and networking. Zoo access
