In my post of last week https://www.jelfgroup.com/blog/2010/12/so-how-did-i-do/ I referred to predictions I made last New Year for 2010. In that post I mentioned that in 2011 we were likely to see much more in the way of social unrest (in the form of ‘National’ strikes), and that unemployment, although largely stable at present, was still likely to climb next year.
I did not expect to find any supporting ‘evidence’ for my assertions so early, but today’s news provided a few links that I thought you may find of interest. One is from the Daily Mail, and as such may require a pinch of salt to taste, the other two are both from the BBC news website:

Notwithstanding the links above, I hope you have a happy and prosperous 2011, and look forward to seeing your comments, or perhaps meeting you at one of our events.
On the subject of events, and for your information, I am currently researching my presentation for our next event https://www.jelfgroup.com/blog/2010/12/first-seminar-date-for-2011-grab-a-place-now/ , and I will place some of my more detailed findings on the blog for your convenience. Subjects that I intend to cover will include Childcare Vouchers, Cycle to Work and, of course, Pension Reform issues.
Best regards
Steve
