An educated guess?

As I mentioned in my post last month (link below), the Freedom of Pension proposals are something of a gamble - or at the very least an educated guess - for the UK.

These proposals are uncharted waters for this country - and we have to hope that those making the calls have weighed up the benefits or otherwise of such a radical approach. Another item that goes some way towards complementing the one above in this article from the Scottish Life website, which looks at how individuals in other countries are able to access their retirement funds:

The article certainly adds some useful facts to the debate, and I expect that many will find this rather interesting.

Only time will tell whether this particular educated guess is a good one, yet it seems self evident that these proposals will certainly accelerate the need for more financial education in the workplace.
