We have been awaiting some further news on the Health and Work Service for some considerable time, and out of the blue the attached landed in my in-box just now:
So what does this tell us?
The obvious bit is that the supplier will be Health Management Ltd - which according to the release is the UK’s largest independent occupational health provider. However, in Scotland the service will be delivered by the Scottish Government.
More importantly, it also tells us that the service will begin being rolled out in “late 2014″ - with the phased roll out completed by the end of May 2015.
The £500 tax exemption is also mentioned again - but detail still seems a bit hazy here (and, to be fair, this will not be delivered by DWP as such).
So it looks like the HWS is all systems go again. Will bring you more detail when it is available and/or published.
