The Freight Transport Association (FTA) announced recently that its new edition of the European Road Transport Guide has been published. The FTA has been publishing an annual edition of the guide for the last 19 years.
The guide consists of 444 pages and is designed to help UK-based road haulage transport operators by providing them with essential information for travelling around 58 countries in the EU and beyond. It offers information on updated driving restrictions, public holidays, country details, as well as customs and ferry information.
The FTA is among one of the UK’s biggest trade associations. It represents freight and logistics stakeholders operating all modes of transport with member companies running more than 200,000 lorries, which is almost half of the UK’s entire fleet.
The announcement includes comments by FTA’s International Manager Don Armour, who is also the editor of the guide. He says the new revised edition provides valuable information to all who deal with international road freight operations. The guide’s contents are subject to regular updates and FTA members often make contributions based on their own experience. This way the information stays relevant and helps companies and their drivers stick to their schedules without encountering problems during international journeys, he added.
The FTA has released the guide without any increase in price. A free copy of the guide is included in the international FTA members’ subscription package. Members are able to purchase additional copies if required and the guide is also available to non-international FTA members and non-members alike.
