Vote for me! (please)/ My manifesto

As many of our followers will be aware, I am not of the opinion that the words “Pensions” and “Personality” sit well together in any given sentence.

Yet I have been charged with trying to make the 2014 shortlist for the “Pensions Personality of the Year” award.

So I need your help (and votes) please.

The voting is currently open for this award, and it’s very easy to cast your vote. Details of how to do so are shown at the bottom of this post.

My Manifesto:

If I am going to ask you to vote for me, I suppose I should at least have a stab at some manifesto commitments. So here are my four key promises to you:

  • I will continue to explain legislation in a manner which employers, and employees, of non-pension organisations can actually understand.
  • I will continue to provide a pragmatic stance on all pensions (and other related employee benefit) issues - rather than hiding behind industry rhetoric or vested interests.
  • I will continue to respond to Government consultations with the aim of simplifying, rather than complicating, legislation for employers and the industry
  • I will continue to run events that employers actually want to attend, and write a blog that is of practical assistance to it’s followers.

How do I vote?

To cast your vote, simply send an email to Rachel.Dalton@incisivemedia.com by Friday 21 March.

Please type: “Personality: Steve Herbert” in the subject line of your email.

You do not need to give any reasons for your choice in this email (although please feel free to do so).

Please do not vote more than once for any candidate, or vote for multiple candidates.

Thanks in advance for your votes (pause for photo-opportunity).

Best regards

Steve
