I was away from my computer for around an hour this morning. Yet this short period of time was apparently long enough for yet another Government consultation in the Employee Benefits space to be issued.
And no prizes for guessing that, once again, Pensions are the topic up for discussion. Yet this consultation might well be different. The Consultation document is entitled:
“Reshaping workplace pensions for future generationsâ€
The focus would appear to be the often mentioned topic of “Defined Ambition†pension plans (something of a halfway-house between traditional Defined Benefit plans, and the world of Money Purchase pensions), and it will be interesting to see what conclusions are reached in this document, and what questions raised for wider discussions.
I will however hold off saying anything further until I have read and digested this in detail. Will report back on the blog next week.
