Jelf’s Annual Health and Wellbeing event is here again, and this time we are focusing on changes ahead, given that the Government will introduce both the Independent Assessment Service (IAS) and tax-breaks for health related interventions in 2014.
To help employers understand and prepare for these changes we have once again sought out an expert panel featuring Professor Sayeed Khan, Chief Medical adviser to the EEF, Tim Randles the well known Employment Lawyer, and our own Steve Herbert and Iain Laws. Topics covered will include:
- The IAS, tax relief for health-related interventions, and fit notes in 2014 and beyond
- The management of sick employees from a legal and practical perspective
- The future of UK corporate healthcare policies, and what this means to employers
And, once again, we have a great venue for our delegates to enjoy. The Foundling Hospital & Museum was established over 270 years ago as Britain’s first home for abandoned children, and also London’s first public arts gallery. The museum today boasts a collection of major art works (including several by Hogarth) and a gallery relating to the composer Handel. But the most moving items are the foundling “tokensâ€, unique items by which parents hoped to be able to reclaim their child when their health or finances allowed. This unique venue, which is easily accessible via all forms of public transport, will be exclusively open to our delegates on the day without cost.
