Just a lightening quick post to keep you all updated on the progress of The Pensions Bill as it moves towards legislation.
For those new to the blog, this legislation will contain the important final detail on Auto-Enrolment requirements, and it’s crucial to have that detail so that employers can finally take action to plan for, and meet, these requirements.
I was sent an update by the DWP yesterday, which confirms that the Lords Consideration of Commons Amendments will take place on Monday 31 October in the afternoon.
So, long story short, this is very nearly law now. Not before time though, as for some employers the legislation takes hold in less than 12 months!
I will be covering a lot more around this in the period between now and Christmas, with blog posts as the detail becomes known, Technical Bulletins (likewise once we have analysed the detail and impact), and of course Seminar and Workshop comment and updates.
