Jelf Employee Benefits launches new corporate healthcare proposition

Jelf Employee Benefits launches new corporate healthcare proposition

Jelf Employee Benefits today announces the launch of their new corporate healthcare proposition.  Having completed its recruitment drive, the company structure is now in place and significant investment has been made in the development of their healthcare offering.  The focus of the new proposition is to add significant and tangible value to clients through strategy and service.

The key elements in the service include:

  • Identifying near-, mid- and long-term organisational objectives for employee health benefits, service and management

  • Developing long-term strategic sustainability planning for employee healthcare

  • Implementation of effective employee engagement programmes

  • Bespoke performance indicators and management information

  • Customer-driven tiered-service options with transparent charging

In a market where private medical benefits are often just annually re-broked, with very little added value, Jelf Employee Benefits believes the time is right to give employers more.  Their proposition focuses on strategy, wellbeing and service: ensuring the healthcare solution adds value to the company and the employee.

According to Jelf Employee Benefits, HR and employee benefits directors are faced with increasing challenges. These include the ageing workforce with their complex needs; the financial strain of increased life expectancy and continuing battle against ill health; absenteeism & a recession-driven presenteeism culture; as well as the greater responsibility for staff welfare as the cost of public healthcare rises.  These increased issues mean employers need more from their healthcare advisers.

Talking about the challenges for today’s healthcare market, Iain Laws, director of UK healthcare for Jelf Employee Benefits said: “Simple broking is often no longer enough, HR teams need much more from their intermediaries.  There are many creative options available to companies today when it comes to providing healthcare for staff, including looking at different pricing options, healthcare trusts and linking alongside all company benefits.  We believe that true consultancy: offering strategy based on successful experience, and a tangible difference in service, is the only way to fully support companies and their staff in today’s market.”

The company believes that the great employers are those whose HR teams are skilled in the art of balancing the corporate requirements of the business with the needs of the individual employee.  This task is becoming ever tougher in today’s economic climate, so advisers need to improve their offering.

Laws continued: “Forward-thinking HRs are now more demanding, and only the forward-thinking healthcare intermediaries, that are able to advise on all areas, backed up by first-class service will survive.”
