Local businesses and charity benefit as Jelf Insurance Brokers expands into new Guildford office
Local business people from across the Guildford area came together yesterday to mark the official opening of Jelf Insurance Brokers’ new premises in Weyside Park, Godalming.
On hand to unveil the new offices, which have been selected to support the company’s expansion plans for the area, were Alex Alway, Jelf Group Chief Executive; Phil Barton, Chief Executive of Jelf Insurance Brokers; Regional Managing Director Jerry Wilson, and Branch Director Barry Clarke, who has over 25 years of experience of supporting businesses in and around Guildford.
Attendees were treated to a tour of the offices, whilst they enjoyed a light buffet. The 30-strong Jelf team also took the opportunity to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital – in recognition of the recent support given to a family member of one of the team.
Commenting on the event, Phil Barton Chief Executive of Jelf Insurance Brokers, said: “It’s been fantastic to welcome so many key members of the local business community to our new offices. Our experienced Guildford team is dedicated to providing a tailored, personal service to all our clients throughout the community. This new office provides them with a great base from which to do this.”
Branch Director, Barry Clarke, who heads up the team continued: “Our aim is for local businesses to see Jelf as the obvious choice for their insurance needs. We are committed to becoming the leading insurance broker in the Guildford area and it’s been fantastic to be able to share this vision with the community at the same time as raising money for a charity which we know is very close to the hearts of many of them – we would all like to say a big thank you for everyone’s generosity.”
