Jelf’s Compliance Director ‘tri-ing’ for charity

Rob Byett, Jelf’s Group Compliance Director has entered three triathlons to support Jelf’s Sales Academy in reaching its fundraising target of £10,000.

Having just completed his ‘warm-up’ triathlon consisting of 750m swim, 20k cycle and 5k run, Rob is now preparing for two more triathlons with the hopes of raising £3,000 for Reach, the Association for Children with Upper Limb Deficiency, one of the Sales Academy’s charities of the year.

On 15th July, Rob will compete in the Bristol Olympic Distance race consisting of 1,500m  swim (in Bristol’s docks), 40k cycle and 20k run before finishing his challenge in October at the New Forest Triathlon, which consists of a grueling 2k swim, 90k cycle and 20k run.

Rob commented: “When the Sales Academy set its £10,000 charity fundraising target, I felt like this would be the perfect chance for me to get into shape and challenge myself to complete these triathlons for a worthy cause.  I really enjoyed my first triathlon and am already well on my way towards raising my target of £3,000.  I know it’s going to be tough but I have been training hard and am looking forward to my next challenge in July.”

Each year, Jelf Sales Academy develops a group of high potential sales advisers from across the business and equips them with the knowledge, skills, contacts and network they need to be successful.  As part of their goals for the year, the Academy members have been tasked with raising £10,000 for charity and have chosen to support Reach and The Joanna Brown Trust, which aims to instill in young people love, enthusiasm and dedication to sport and new challenges.
