Jelf Jets in training for Race for Life
Fifteen members of staff from Jelf Employee Benefits’ Ringwood office are joining the UK’s biggest fight against cancer by training for Bournemouth’s Race for Life.
The 15 ladies, who have named themselves ‘Jelf Jets’ are working towards a sponsorship goal of £500 and are looking forward to taking part in the event on Sunday, 17th June on Bournemouth seafront.
Debra Clark, Individual Business Development Director, Jelf Employee Benefits and member of the Jelf Jets, comments: “This is such a worthwhile cause and we are all very excited to be getting involved. Here in the office we have a motto - ‘together we achieve’ –and this is the perfect way for us to put this advice into practice outside of work. We have already raised over £300 towards our target, which includes a generous donation from Jelf Employee Benefits’ Managing Director, Glenn Thomas.
“An important company ethos is to engage with the communities in which we operate, and this seemed like a good opportunity for a group of us to get involved. Plus, I know from past experience that this event is great fun – I ran it a couple of years ago with some friends and it was definitely the case of the more the merrier!”
The Jelf Jets will also be holding a raffle in the coming weeks to raise further funds for the charity.
