Chipping Sodbury’s Jelf executive team complete their Hadrian’s Wall challenge
A team of nine executive’s from Jelf’s head office in Chipping Sodbury have successfully completed their weekend trekking expedition along Hadrian’s Wall.
Led by Jelf Group Chief Executive Alex Alway, their mission was to raise as much money as possible for four charities – It’s in the Bag, Breakthough Breast Cancer, Weston Hospice Care and Clifton Rugby’s heart defibrillator appeal.
Thanks to the “fit chip” worn by one of the team and the terrain, we can report that as well as the distance covered, they each worked up the equivalent of 400 flights of stairs in weather conditions which ranged from those perfect for walking, to freezing cold and driving rain – a typical British weekend!!
Donations are still being received, but so far they have raised over £3,500. If you would like to contribute please visit www.uk.virginmoneygiving.com/giving , key Rob Byett in the ‘your friend’s name section’, and click on the Team Jelf fundraising page.
