Jelf launches Affinities and Schemes Team
Following the appointment of Rob Rees as Managing Director, Schemes and Affinities, Jelf Insurance Brokers has announced that it has recruited a team to develop its schemes proposition.
Reporting directly to Phil Barton, CEO (Insurance), Rob will be responsible for building on Jelf’s track record for successful affinity partnerships.
Rob comments: “We as a company believe that there are circa 2,000 affinity schemes currently across the UK. Our aim is to maximise our existing expertise in this sector and to develop a joined up approach by creating a proposition that covers our full range of products and services – insurance, employee benefits and financial planning. There aren’t many businesses that have the appetite or the scope to do this, so we really have a competitive advantage.”
To join Rob in achieving its objectives, Jelf has appointed a new team consisting of three area specialists:
Theresa Stapleton, who joins Jelf from RBS, has an excellent background in call centre management. In this newly created role she will be responsible for formulating the service centre proposition.
Paul Williams, formerly of Towergate, will be responsible for developing Jelf’s online proposition specifically for new affinity partners.
To maintain Jelf’s reputation for providing outstanding levels of client service based on lasting relationships, Rob Cockle, currentlyJelf Partnership Director, will oversee the face to face client relationship management to support the proposition.
According to Phil Barton, “The launch of the Jelfaffinities business is a pivotal point in the development of Jelf Insurance Brokers. We are creating a proposition that will put us at the forefront of the market. The work we have done to develop a new service and distribution model will combine our online lead generation with our commitment to continuing to provide Jelf's brand of personal and professional client service. We have ambitious plans in place, and I am confident that Rob and his new team have the potential to raise the bar in the market.”
