The Children's Hospice South West brightens up Bristol!? 14 October 2013

Nearly 1,000 participants set Bristol alight with an explosion of colour as they took part in the UK's first 5k Rainbow Run, organised by the CHSW in May. As Jelf Lampier's chosen charity, they were delighted to put forward a team for the run, and raised £260.00 in sponsorship.

Ministry of Justice Reforms 23 July 2013

Incidents arising on or after 31 July 2013 are now subject to a change in the way claims are handled.  Employers’ Liability (EL) will be reported to you and your Insurers (via the Employer’s Liability Tracing Office – ELTO) however Public/Product Liability (PL) claims will continue to be reported to you directly. Read more

Plans revealed for new Bristol business park to support start-ups 27 September 2012

The Bristol economy could be set to receive a welcome boost if plans are approved for a new £11m green business park to support start ups. This significant investment is expected to support around 120 businesses, potentially creating 180 new jobs and safeguarding a further 170. Read more.



The value of risk assessment, 16 May 2012

Increase in theft of diesel and heating oil, 22 February 2012

The Association of British Insurers has reported an increase in claims for theft of heating oil and diesel. The methods employed by thieves range from decanting or siphoning into cans or drums to pumping into bulk tanks mounted on vehicles. Read more.

Computer Problems at Southmead Hospital, 7 February 2012

A recent failure with a £3.9 million computer system has caused chaos at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. The system was designed to cope with 30,000 outpatient appointments per month. It was also designed to replace all paper notes and files. Read more
