Andy Barton Business Connect Development Manager

Andy started his insurance career in 1983 with K C Galpin Associates Ltd and after handling personal lines business for twelve months moved into the commercial team as an account manager.The company joined forces with John Martin & Son in 2000 to form Martin & Galpin Insurance Brokers where he became an account executive and subsequently an associate director.

In 2005 he set up the general business unit and managed the team during takeovers by John Lampier & Son Ltd and, subsequently, Jelf.


In October 2010 the Business Connect team was formed to give real focus to local SME businesses and Andy took the role of development manager, handling new business enquiries and complex renewal client visits.

Andy has recently gained NVQ level 3 and certificate CII qualifications in commercial broking and financial services.



Luke Stevenson Commercial Account Handler

Luke first joined Jelf in September 2009 on a placement year from university. He completed a number of smaller placements within this year, working in Finance, Human Resources and finally the insurance business.

After completing his final year at University he rejoined Jelf Lampier in September 2011 working alongside Andy in the Business Connect sales team. Luke was invited to join the Sales Development Academy in September and is working towards his Certificate in Insurance alongside this.
