2016 has been a turbulent political year so far, and with the dust now settling on the EU referendum it is time for employers to prepare for the post-Brexit business world.
To help employers with this significant challenge we would like to invite you to our forthcoming seminar. Our three expert educators will be on hand to provide topical updates as follows:
- An update on the key Employment Law changes with Rachel Dobson
- Pension Legislation changes with Susan Andrews
- A review of the complex and changing world of Employee Benefits with Steve Herbert
We also have an excellent and prestigious venue for our delegates to enjoy. Harewood House is one of the most important and historic visitor attractions in Yorkshire, and our delegates will have free access to the house and grounds once the seminar concludes. You will be able to stroll through the “Capability†Brown designed parkland and Bird Garden (which includes Humboldt Penguins & Flamingos), take-in the Farm Experience centre, view life below stairs, and visit the impressive Staterooms all without charge. 09:50 Employee Benefits: “Capability for improvement…â€
The EU referendum result has left employers facing major uncertainties. Steve will look at this issue together with the UK’s engagement and productivity deficit, whilst identifying some important and cost effective steps that employers can take to tackle this issue. This session will include a look at Childcare Vouchers (and its replacement Tax Free Childcare), changing workforce demographics (and absence management), and how to engage line-managers for the good of employer and employee alike. Speaker: Steve Herbert, Head of Benefits Strategy, Jelf Employee Benefits
10:20 Pensions: “How to remain compliantâ€
Pensions Auto-Enrolment (AE) is now a reality for most UK organisations, yet few appreciate that the duties do not stop with achieving compliance at their staging date. Sue will look at the on-going issues that many employers overlook, as well as the recent changes to AE requirements. An important and topical session for all attendees. Speaker: Susan Andrews, Workplace Savings Consultant, Jelf Employee Benefits

11:00 Employment Law: “Employment Law updateâ€
Although the EU referendum dominates the Employment Law headlines, there are many other key changes in this space that employers need to better understand. A case law update will be included as required. Speaker: Rachel Dobson, Employment Law Consultant, Jelf Risk Management
