Auto Enrolment is a policy that legally requires all employers to automatically enrol eligible employees into a workplace pension and to make contributions to that pension. It has been introduced to increase saving in workplace pensions, and therefore increasing the incentive for UK workers to save more for their old age.

As of November 2014 over 5 million people had already enrolled and only 7% had opted out***, suggesting that if it is made simple to save towards a pension; employees will more than likely do so.
