FAQ’s

I support a local branch of a national charity, can I still enter?

Sadly not; although we recognise the incredible work done by national charities these awards are specifically for local Gloucestershire charities, not national ones.

I used to do a lot for charity when I worked at my previous company, can I still enter?

No, you would need to be currently employed by that company to enter.

Our company supports a local group but it’s not a registered charity, can we still enter?

The charity must have a UK registered charity number or be able to provide evidence of their governing documentation to be eligible.

I’m part of a team of people who help support a local charity, can we enter the individual award?

You are welcome to enter individually but only one of you can win sadly! Do enter the corporate category though.

We are a local charity and receive support from lots of different businesses, can we enter more than one?

Absolutely, enter as many as you want to! Don’t forget to enter some individuals from each business too.

I want to enter the awards as an individual but I’m going to be away on 4th September 2014 (the awards ceremony) can I still enter?

Sadly not. We do need all entrants to be available to attend the ceremony on 4th September 2014.

I’m happy to enter the awards but don’t want my photo in the paper or anything written about my win, is this ok?

We do ask that all entrants allow us to use photographs of the winners and finalists in our PR and marketing activities so no, we would not advise that you enter these awards.

I want to let people know we’ve entered these awards, how can I do that?

Why not link an article to this website or our Facebook page? www.facebook.com/jelfawards?

Our company does work for the Wiggly Worm and the Little Green Wiggly Machine, can we enter even though they are your chosen charity?

Absolutely! We know there are lots of other local businesses supporting this great local charity and we’d be delighted if you entered!
