This post is really a shot prequel to my post earlier today.
At the useful presentation by The Pensions Regulator (TPR) yesterday, it was mentioned that the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) have now accepted that ‘the time for tinkering’ with the auto enrolment legislation has now passed.
In the interests of honesty, I should point out that this was only the TPR’s take on another departments position, but it does suggest that the constant change to the detail of the legislation may have now ended, allowing us all to plan with more certainty.
So hopefully some of the fog around this subject will now gradually clear, although it has to be said that the issue does remain ‘eye wateringly complex’. For more detail regarding that quote, please see this older post: https://www.jelfgroup.com/blog/2012/06/i-did-mention-that-ae-was-complex-didnt-i/
Best regards
Steve
