Here in Manchester our team have all been locally based over their respective careers in the insurance industry, here are a few of our key team members and a little detail about what they do.
 

Alan Sumner – Regional Managing Director (North West Region)

 

Alan Sumner joined Jelf Manson in June 2011 as Regional Sales Director being promoted to Regional Managing Director in September 2012 to support and continue the growth of the business in the region. With over 30 years broking and insurer experience in business development and management positions, Alan works with the Account Executives and Specialist and Niche Insurance areas to deliver our products and services to existing and prospective clients.

 

Mike Askew – Director

 
Mike has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services sector mainly in business development and management roles. He was a co-founder/Managing Director of CBG Group in 2001, listing the business on AIM in 2003 until its eventual sale in 2011. He joined Jelf Manson in 2014 to help build upon the company’s existing strengths, helping to develop new niches & the profile within the wider corporate community.
 

James Adler – Account Executive

 

James joined Jelf Manson in April 2014 as an Account Executive specialising in the Science and Technology sector, where each business has its own very unique and demanding requirements. James has worked within this sector since 2008 in previous employment and built an unrivalled knowledge, enabling him to create unique commercial insurance programmes specific to individual requirements.

 

Gary Jamieson – Account Executive 

 

Gary is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurance Practioner. He has over 35 years of experience of working in the insurance industry. Having started as an underwriter he has worked for both national and regional Brokers as well as major financial institutions. In his role he has provided insurance and risk management advice to clients in a range of sectors including manufacturers, wholesalers, sport & leisure, professions, retailers and restaurants.

 

Paul Spurway – Account Executive 

 

Paul started with Jelf Manson in 2010, and with 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry, he has spent the last 19 specialising within the property sector. His experience has focused on providing insurance solutions for many major blue chip companies, which has involved developing bespoke facilities for property investors, developers and managing agents.

 

Helen Collier – Account Executive 

 

Helen joined Jelf Manson in January 2015 as an Account Executive. She has over 30 years of experience of working in the insurance industry. Having started as an underwriter she has worked for both national and regional Brokers . In her role she has provided insurance and risk management advice to clients in a range of sectors including manufacturers, construction property owners , retailers and restaurants.

 

Leanne Parker – Account Executive 

 

Leanne joined Jelf Manson in February 2012, bringing with her almost 10 years experience within the High Net Worth sector of insurance. She is a Private Client Specialist dealing with a range of Household and Motor products to suit each individuals needs from professional sports people to successful business owners.
